Holistic Farm Management

Posted by Martyn Noakes over 12 years ago

Thinking Holisticly about our landscape, Yvonne and I are currenlty under taking the Hiolistic Farm Management Course run by George Gundry in association withteh Savoury Institute.

We've just completed our first face to face session of our Hiolistic Farm Management Course.  The course so far has covered an intrioduction to the soil, mineral and solar cycle, the importance of dynamic communities and basics of holistic thinking.

The three most important things we took away from the first session are;

1.  The need to really understanding the issue of plant management as the key to healthy pastures.

2.   Profit depends on the best managment of plants.

3.   Animal health is directly related to plant and soil health.

Now I need to go do my homework.
