Just got back to my home SE of Melbourne after a week long PDC teacher training course with Geoff Lawton at Zaytuna farm in Northern NSW.
The week was spent with participants who were there just for the week as well as guys 5 weeks into their 10 week internship. All were great people from varied backgrounds, age groups and geographical location which made for amazing diversity and by the end of the course diersity with many usefull connections.
The workload was tough to say the least and individual presentations of varying durations, often without warning or time to prepare, pushed us all out of our comfort zones!
Over the week though, each and every person developed amazingly, new skills and techniques were learnt and evryone left an improved teacher.
Most impressive of all though, was the level of passion for permaculture held by all those on both the course and the internship. Some of the most inspirational viewpoints I have heard on Permaculture and where it fits in peoples lives were given on a daily basis.
