Recently I became part of the team of Payaka, a successfull firm of amazing hemp clothes, running the thai branch shop in Chiangmai, northern Thailand.
Besides reforming the physical spaces, the internal dynamincs of the place have totally evolved, transforming a regular guest house in an open house.
A real "menu' of intentions" has been formulated and it's offered to visitors that are looking for a place where to stay. Accomodation is offered only accepting to be part of a bigger family.
Meals are mostly shared in common, expecially where there is a flow of families and friends that come to visit. The space is completely kids friendly and suitable for demonstrations, courses, public events and live music, hosting occasionally various healing massage practitioners.
You can check the progress of this project in the pages of my personal blog dedicated to it, following this link.
We are considering also longer term positions and internships, evolving eventually towards a sort of cohousing model.
It's a very stimulating athmosphere for learning and meeting people.
Indeed it's already an amazing extended family tribe!
