Farming on the North Shore of Oahu, Hawaii

I'm excited to be part of a wonderful permaculture and organic farm site in Hawaii at Waihuena Farm!

Aloha! I'm currently living in Hawaii! My dream was to live and work on a farm walking disctance to the beach with warm water, surfing and snorkeling, and pleanty of coconut trees and I found it on the North Shore of Oahu in Hawaii at Waihuena Farm. The farm is owned by Meleana Judd and her family who also runs Inter-Island Solar Supply in Honolulu. I am stoked to be part of the team bringing sustainable agriculture to the island. I'm leading the volunteer program and educational workshops here and working on the farm with daily tasks such as watering, feeding the chickens, we have a goat that I walk and it likes to eat the ti plants, hibiscus, chaya, and african tulip flowers. Angela Rothweiler : Congrats on finding your dream place! I enjoyed reading about it and what you do there. I hae spent some time on Maui and would love to practice Permaculture there.My search continues for a place similar to yours ....where I can wear a sun dress all year long. maybe you could keep an ear open for me? Much love!

Angela Rothweiler : I take my 7 goats on walks in the woods and find it to be very rewarding! I hand milk and make cheese with any extra milk.

Angela Rothweiler : I just recently applied for a Permaculture position in the Virgin Islands. I live on an 80 acre organic orchard at the moment on a work trade. Wishing for warmer weather.
