Baked Alaska

Lime rendering a lit rocket stove should provide some interesting results

baked alaska

As is the case more often than not at PRI Zaytuna Farm, the farm has its own schedule for you. I was intending to lime render the rocket stove earlier in the day, but didnt get to it until after 3pm which coincided nicely with the wwoofers finishing for the day and wanting a hot shower. So not wanting to put off the rendering I decided to give it a go while the stove was lit. I imagine there will be a fair amount of cracking as the heat from the stove would dry out the lime render too quickly, but there didn't seem to be any catastrphic results at the time.

Similarly The fresh cob job yesterday seemed to hold up well to the fired rocket stove.
