Wow, learning so much about permaculture at this intensive internship, i don't really know where to start. We (the interns) have 11 hour days - 5 days a week, learning and practicing permaculture. It feels like a full immersion, most of my dreams while sleeping have a permaculture focus. We just finished our week focusing on aid work. It was great listening to stories from Geoff Lawton and friends, everyone's experience was so different. My favourite quote from Geoff was "never use a warhead crater as a toilet... For a while I thought I might of had a radioactive butt." The Inspiring, slightly terrifying, harsh at times, reality of the farm life and intensive internship is very transformative. At times it ha been Really hard adjusting to this experience, I am growing so much though. Next week we learn about teaching permaculture, to get geoff's feedback on my teaching style will be so valuable and I think will help me feel way more comfortable and confident in teaching permaculture.
