2nd to 22nd March 2014, 3-week Permaculture Design Certification course, Hariharalaya Retreat Centre, Siem Reap, Cambodia

This is a beautiful site set amongst the ancient temples of Angkor Wat. With 3 weeks to learn and practice permaculture we will have an engaged and enriching experience. Integrated into this course will be optional yoga and meditation sessions everyday, as well as delicious vegan food at all meals.

This course is an excellent and comprehensive introduction into regenerative systems design with between 100 to 120 hours of curriculum. There will be traditional style lectures, learning exercises, discussions, photo shows, design challenges, games, hands-on projects and a full day field trip to other sites. While we make the experience of this course an enjoyable and engaging one, it is not a vacation. This is a deep, content rich environment and the more a student actively engages it, the more they will get out of it.

I strongly believe, and past participants have said, that this course really prepares them for doing the needfuls on their site (home, farm, organization, community, etc.), especially in the larger context of community and landscape. A very common comment has been that participants not only have a much better understanding of the steps and how to take them, but more significantly, they have the confidence to do so. This includes the feeling that any 'mistakes' will only be opportunities to learn and do things better.
