Permaculture design of a life after Peak oil and financial collapse

Project: PermaLot

Posted by Max Vittrup Jensen almost 11 years ago

Talks and intensive weekend workshop with Nicole 'Stoneleigh' Foss, Roel Illargi and Max Vittrup Jensen Permaculture design of a life after Peak oil and financial collapse.

Last minute news: Weekend workshop: 11,12, 13/03 at

PermaLot Centre of Natural Building, Bouzov Podoli,

Czech Republic

As a last minute arrangement we are proud to make it possible for 10 participants to join us in PermaLot for a weekend workshop with Nicole and her fellow editor,  Ilargi.

The exact program is still under development, but it will include talks about the present situation, and significantly the likely-hood of future collapse. This will lead to discussions and afterwards group work, making transition plans for your own life style/situation based on the sustainable design principles of Permaculture.

Juraj Marcek : Hello Max, I'm interested in joining seminar with you and Nicole, I like the subject but have already plans to follow for this weekend.. Could you schedule next seminar around summer? I'd like to spread the word a bit and bring some friends to such a discussion..

Max Vittrup Jensen : Hi Juraj,

Sorry; didn't catch this message; always best with a mail straight to my inbox ;o) Anyhow, Nicole isn't likely to return anytime soon, however we have a serie of weekend events on our web; www.permalot.org --> akce (Sorry; Czech language only), which you are welcome to join. ...and to let your friends know about!

As for the peak-oil issue: We're a group of 'peak-oiler's meeting once or twice a year, the folks around energybulletin.cz and the new CZ transition site. Seems you might want to hook op for this?

Cheers, Mx

Legend of Badges

Note: The various badges displayed in people profiles are largely honesty-based self-proclamations by the individuals themselves. There are reporting functions users can use if they know of blatant misrepresentation (for both people and projects). Legitimacy, competency and reputation for all people and projects can be evidenced and/or developed through their providing regular updates on permaculture work they’re involved in, before/after photographs, etc. A spirit of objective nurturing of both people and projects through knowledge/encouragement/inspiration/resource sharing is the aim of the Worldwide Permaculture Network.

pri_teacher

PRI Teacher

With the exception of the ‘Member’ who has never taken a PDC, all of the above can apply to become a PRI PDC Teacher. PRI PDC Teachers are those who the PRI recognise, through a vetting board, as determined and competent to teach the full 72-hour course as developed by Permaculture founder Bill Mollison – covering all the topics of The Designers’ Manual as well as possible (i.e. not cherry picking only aspects the teacher feels most interested or competent in). Such teachers also commit to focussing on the design science, and not including subjective spiritual/metaphysical elements. The reason these items are not included in the PDC curriculum is because they are “belief” based. Permaculture Design education concerns itself with teaching good design based on strategies and techniques which are scientifically provable.

PRI PDC Teachers may be given teaching and/or consultancy offerings as they become available as the network grows.
