When you hear speaking about elements, functions, and their interaction, the best example you can get is: Trees.

Wow! we all know sort of what a tree doe's for soil, and the function of photosynthesis, and many others things. But when you actually stop to thin about specific aspects and you think about them in the right way, it's alla different story.

The story of a tree can be told in many different ways but when look at it's functions, and the way it displays them it's great. 

Geoff Lawton in the video on permaculture design says at one point: I'm sitting on the teachers lap (he's sitting on a big trees root), and the forest around me is the classroom. I had the fortune monday to go on my land and while cutting down some fire wood, to stop and take some rest during the day sitting under the trees.

What peace, what energy I perceived. the flowing of the wind in the canopy, the life of the soil, the scent of fungi. Just pushing aside some leafs revealed a world of dark black soil, rich, so rich that it makes you want to eat it.

In many ancient societies, but I guess even today, to understand how a soil was people used to taste it, eating some, I must say if we connect with our ancestral instincts it seems natural.

Every week is getting more and more deep. I love to keep this collection of impressions because I can see how much my awareness is changing week after week. 

Now we're on to water, this is a turning point, at half way we start to pass from thinking to acting
