We have just finished working over another area of our property. It was an area that has been flood irrigated for ever and it would run across the ground and head for the road and be gone.
We installed 3 swales and have planted water loving plants in the mounds between the swales. Now the water sits and soaks into the ground and takes 45 minutes to reach the road....a lot better.
