Project Summary

Project for local food worldwide. Looking for some farm near your area. Social network for many users, seeds exchange, work exchange, local shop. Food to your home

Project Description

Welcome to Agrobiokilometrizero. This site is designed and realized primarily to help consumers to find local producers and to ethically approach to the short chain and the zero kilometer (local food). Each farmer (farm), even small, can subscribe to the site. Once subscribed, he can go on free profile and add additional information, such as what kind of products he grows, what type of technique he uses, and advertising for its own company, through inserting links and contacts. During registration it will be requested in which city and country lives every person or company, allowing to quickly find, through the research engine, the closer manufacturers. The group is now also open to Egb groups, to those who make green building, to craftsmen and shops at zero kilometer in the area. In addition, the portal can also be used by private users who want to exchange, barter or look for work. Through the bulletin board, any message is displayed by all users. For example, if a company writes that it is seeking a worker for a period, a message for all users appears immediately in the main section. Some users may subscribe privately if they wish, or because seek exchange work, or because they want to exchange seeds, or for any other reason, for example if they want to do consulting in permaculture. Upon registration, everyone can select the type of technique which utilizes for cultivation, if he works according to organic standards, biodynamic or permaculture. If what he attests is not true, there will be a control area and a feedback area from the users. Every user can upload on his own personal profile all the photos he wants, write posts related to agriculture, engage with others to open discussions, exchange knowledge and document it. It will also open the possibility of establishing thematic groups, where to exchange opinions. It is possible to send private messages between users. If anyone upload videos on his own YouTube channel, he can safely place them to make himself a little advertising. We want to create a global network for managing local problems

Legend of Badges

Note: The various badges displayed in people profiles are largely honesty-based self-proclamations by the individuals themselves. There are reporting functions users can use if they know of blatant misrepresentation (for both people and projects). Legitimacy, competency and reputation for all people and projects can be evidenced and/or developed through their providing regular updates on permaculture work they’re involved in, before/after photographs, etc. A spirit of objective nurturing of both people and projects through knowledge/encouragement/inspiration/resource sharing is the aim of the Worldwide Permaculture Network.

PRI Teacher

With the exception of the ‘Member’ who has never taken a PDC, all of the above can apply to become a PRI PDC Teacher. PRI PDC Teachers are those who the PRI recognise, through a vetting board, as determined and competent to teach the full 72-hour course as developed by Permaculture founder Bill Mollison – covering all the topics of The Designers’ Manual as well as possible (i.e. not cherry picking only aspects the teacher feels most interested or competent in). Such teachers also commit to focussing on the design science, and not including subjective spiritual/metaphysical elements. The reason these items are not included in the PDC curriculum is because they are “belief” based. Permaculture Design education concerns itself with teaching good design based on strategies and techniques which are scientifically provable.

PRI PDC Teachers may be given teaching and/or consultancy offerings as they become available as the network grows.
