Project Summary

Es el proyecto de un Centro de Referencia de Educación en Permacultura, en el área del Pastizal Serrano Pampeano, que busca generar un movimiento bioregional en una zona con carácteristicas naturales y culturales similares, dentro de un área de 180km de largo por 80km de ancho, denominado Sierras de la Ventana.

Project Description

En un área de 2.5 hectareas estamos desarrollando un espacio que cuenta con:

3 Sectores de hierbas (comestibles, medicinales y mágicas)

3 Sectores de Hortalizas (basado en el método de agricultura ecosistémica)

4 Sistemas de cereales diversificados (milpa)

1 Sector de manejo de fuego a través de autoforraje animal

1 Sector de Prevención de fuego con plantas cargadas de agua (nopales, magueyes, cactus, etc)

1 bosque de combustible (pino, eucaliptus, aromos, cedros, etc)

1 bosque de alimento (ciruelas, duraznos, manzanas, higos, nogales, vides, olivos, cerezas, frambuesas, moras, tilos, etc)

Sistema de animales menores (conejos, gallinas, gallinas de nueva guinea)

1 Sector de compostas, biofertilizantes, microorganismos efectivos, abonos verdes, siembra y cosecha de suelos.

2 Sistemas de tractores de gallinas y cerdos

Sistema de manejo de agua (presa, tanques de ferrocemento, swales, zanjas de infiltración, estanques) 

Sector de cocina cooperativa (cocina y producción y conserva de dulces, mermeladas, escabeches, pickles, etc)

2 Bancos Comunitario de Semillas (hierbas, hortalizas, cereales, frutales, combustible y otro de plantas nativas)

1 Area Protegida con observatorio astrónomico para observación de ciclos cósmicos que fortalecen el establecimiento de un calendario agricola para esta región.

Diversos proyectos de construcción natural y arquitectura orgánica, que usan diferentes técnicas

1-Sector de tecnolgías alternativas y apropiadas (hornos, estufas lorena, horno de nopal, bicimaquina, molino eólico, baños secos, aparato A)

1- Sector de salud, con hierbas medicinales, temazcal, y sector de producción de jabones, aceites escenciales, shampoos, dentrificos, enjuague bucal)

1-Sector Comercial de hierbas aromáticas (romero, cilantro, epazote, albahaca, oregano, etc)

1 Programa de Educación en Permacultura, que tiene experiencia en diferentes climas, ecosistemas y culturas. Que ha recorrido Latinoamerica y el Caribe sembrando la semilla de la permacultura en los últimos 5 años.

1 Programa de Voluntariado Local, Regional e Internacional

3 Cursos Certificados en Diseño de Permacultura simultaneos de una duración de 10 meses con 40 proyectos en marcha "Cambiando la realidad a través de un PDC" bajo la metodología de Campesino a Campesino para el sur de la Provincia de Buenos Aires.

Dentro de las diferentes actividades que estamos programando hay una variedad interesante, entre las cuales estamos trabajando cursos, talleres, PDC, festivales y la Primer Conferencia y Convergencia de Permacultura para la región Pampeana.

With the exception of the ‘Member’ who has never taken a PDC, all of the above can apply to become a PRI PDC Teacher. PRI PDC Teachers are those who the PRI recognise, through a vetting board, as determined and competent to teach the full 72-hour course as developed by Permaculture founder Bill Mollison – covering all the topics of The Designers’ Manual as well as possible (i.e. not cherry picking only aspects the teacher feels most interested or competent in). Such teachers also commit to focussing on the design science, and not including subjective spiritual/metaphysical elements. The reason these items are not included in the PDC curriculum is because they are “belief” based. Permaculture Design education concerns itself with teaching good design based on strategies and techniques which are scientifically provable.

PRI PDC Teachers may be given teaching and/or consultancy offerings as they become available as the network grows.
