(projects i'm involved in)
I'm a biologist who has mainly studied horned lizards and taught college biology and anatomy. I have a lifelong interest in the natural world and find permaculture an exhilarating opportunity to partner with nature. I was in the first group of Geoff Lawton's online PDC and found it eye-opening. I have not been able to get enough since! I am not very experienced, but am calling myself a permaculture consultant (learn while doing).
When I learned about permaculture I lived in Yuma, AZ--the hottest, driest place in North America with record number of sunny days. From there I moved to Del Rio, TX. Almost as hot, not as dry, but harder to grow things because of limestone bedrock with hardly any soil on top. In 2020 we moved to Brigham City, UT and plan to stay here permanently. I look forward to being around long enough to enjoy the fruits of the trees we plant!
