My current intention is to represent a permaculture viewpoint at all gatherings of people.
First up is the Annual Landcare Conference in Melbourne, Australia, in September 2014.
How did I come to Permaculture? It found me in the 90s when I lived in Canberra and had a vegetable and flower garden. I designed the remodelling of my home unit in Byron Shire in 2003 along permaculture principles, although I had forgotten the word! I think I was probably predisposed to permaculture ethics and principles by my parents, especially my mum, and then throughout my 13 years in the San Francisco Bay Area in the 70s & 80s. In 2014, looking for something to inspire me, I was found again by permaculture, this time Geoff Lawton's online PDC course. It has not been an easy surrender for me, and I am now learning to relax and allow the life of permaculture to enculturate (acculturate?) me!
