I have recently retired from my role as the Head of Executive Development for Jardine Matheson Limited in Hong Kong, where I lived and worked for 26 years, and have returned to Townsville, where we have a home, to apply my new found permaculture skills to our property. Townsville for those who do not know is in the dry tropics which is a very challenging environment to grow things in. I'm looking forward to seeing how I can apply my skills to this challenge.

I have a PhD (the sociology of change) and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of New England. I also have a certificate in Plant Based Nutrition from the T. Colin Campbell Foundation and eCornell.

My interest in permaculture arose out of a keen interest in applying systems thinking to achieve personal and planetary health! They both go hand in hand....
