PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND
Started my business career with an SFU Business Degree in Finance and Economics and became a successful investment executive for five years with Merrill Lynch Canada. I have been involved in the formation and launch of a number of startups including Reserve A Phone Systems, Inc. a pioneer in the cell phone space in 1989, Brookdale International as the original launch management team which was eventually bought by DuPont Canada in 2002, Cubic Transportation which acquired the company that I was consulting to and BigBelly Solar a recent successfully Boston startup which I still have involvement with as a shareholder. I am presently involved with yet another start up, Ethical Planet Supply Company, which markets products and services that save money, improve efficiency and reduce your carbon footprint. Concerned about the state of conditions globally I have left the city and moved to the country to set up an off grid farm. In doing research on sustainable growing systems I became interested in Permaculture. I am now taking the Geoff Lawton course and moving ahead with plans for a food forest, in ground geo air green house and offering sustainable agriculture services in my area.
