I live in Decatur, GA and currently work for a university in administration in Atlanta. My work provides me the opportunity to train all students in the school about sustainable practices and to run a student-supported garden.
I became interested in permaculture about 4 years ago, and received my permaculture certification from Shades of Green Permaculture in 2015. My interest in permaculture comes from the desire to restore beauty and health to our lands and lives, embracing techniques that do no harm to our natural eco-system.
Presently, I am working in a neighborhood community garden (Arcadia Community Garden) and my job's student-supported garden. Also, having just moved into my home, I'm setting systems in place for preserving foods (canning, fermentation), beer-making, and gardening.
