An artist in my former city life, now living on and tending an acre of land by the sea. Got started in 2005 planting trees, then experimenting with various seasonal crops. In early 2011 stumbled across permaculture through some bill mollison videos featuring farms/gardens in different climates. Very soon after moved here full time. My initial goal was to find a system for one person to maintain and grow on 1 acre with no gas powered tools, no till, and limited irrigation. In the process have had some failures, learned loads, and have yet to cease being amazed by the abundance, resiliance and efficiency of nature.
