After a Permaculture-based tree change to the Southern Highlands of NSW David has been involved in the local Permaculture group. While trialling plant and animal systems on his Penrose property he has been course coordinator and main facilitator for Introductory, Backyard and Design Certificate courses, as well as editor for 50 issues of the "Permacultivator - Cool Climate Journal". In 2004 he was awarded a Diploma in Permaculture Design by the Permaculture Institute for Education and Media.
Having lived through the environmental warnings of the 1970's and observed the politico-economic system's inability to adapt to ecologically sustainable practices David adopted a DIY hands-on local-for-global approach. Permaculture has provided the tools for integrating agriculture, science, economics, education and society and offered a degree of hope for our beleagured planet.
David currently has a Permaculture Design Consultancy which offers Pre-Purchase Site Inspections, On-Site Advice, Full Site Design, and Design Implementation.
He is actively involved in both Permaculture Southern Highlands www.permaculturesouthernhighlands.info and Goulburn Permaculture www.goulburnpermaculture.org, assisting with field days and coordinating courses.
Held at Berrima on Tuesday nights for the whole year.
