A long time student of permaculture even while a captive of the corporate world (25 years), working in finance and investment. Permaculture has always made sense to me especially as a counterpoint to the corporate-led world of dominance and destruction of natural systems and people who live close to nature.
A masters of environmental studies completed in 1999 led to 8 years working in the conservation world, which has become as boring (and dangerous!) as the corporate world.
Now "retired" and devoted to developing permaculture design (and application) skills on my 2.2 hectare (5 acre) place in Kangaroo Valley, NSW, Australia, I will be developing and refining my permaculture skills as my real (honest and useful) work begins in 2012. It began with a PDC with Geoff Lawton in January 2012 (finally).
