I'm the Education Director at a 75-acre nature preserve outside of Austin, Texas, called Westcave Preserve (www.westcave.org). We conduct natural science education programs for kids and adults. Many of our programs focus on karst topography and the relationship between water and the landscape.

From 2007 - 2089 my husband and I operated a Community Supported Agriculture project on our 10 acres of land. Our CSA membership varied from 3 families to 12 families.

I became interested in permaculture techniques while exploring ways to capture rainwater run-off and reduce errosion on our land which had been severely overgrazed by previous owners.

Currently, I'm researching aquaponics projects because I've finally worked up the courage to try one!
