Massachusetts dentists have multiple primary practice locations. 19 percent of dentists report that they visit MassHealth patients. Others report seeing the patients at medical centers and military/VA dental clinics or mobile dentists. Some dentists work on a sliding scale of fees. Whatever the practice setting the majority of MA dentists offer general dentistry services. Certain dentists have reported treating several patients who have particular requirements. Figure 7 illustrates the range of dental practice according to the primary practice settings.
