My partner and I started growing the medicinal Superfood Moringa in our hometown in Jamaica as a means for supplying additional nutrition to the community starting with our own family. IRiE FARM was incepted and currently we have 120 Moringa babies growing. With an interest in sustainability, I learned about permaculture through a great teacher Marcus Thompson (a Jamaican-American too). We are currently planting using layers and intercropping applying only organic techniques and sharing this information with the community we live in. Recently, IRiE FARM was allotted a petite piece (peace) of land to introduce Moringa to the Miami Florida area. Our goal is to share and expand the abundance of Permaculture and Moringa through out Miami and Jamaica, share the knowledge of health and live life filled - with an eventual intentional community in our hometown Great Bay, Treasure Beach, Jamaica in the next few years.
