I started out in the corporate world of Johannesburg working towards what I thought was my pursuit of happiness. I came to a cross roads and realised that my dreams were out of sync with what I was doing.
I made the choice in 2008 to spend time on our family farm where my mother had been installing permaculture systems and running introduction to permaculture courses under the name of Wild Olive permaculture in the Western Cape.
I was introduced to the Geoff Lawton movie about the creation of food forests and was blown away by the huge potential that a food forest system would create and how many of the world’s problems could be solved with food forest solutions
After the initial period of observation, I was hooked permaculture was a viable solution that I could create my future with. I found myself resonating at a different frequency, one that was missing form my Johannesburg experience. What I found was that through the permaculture principles, ethics and lifestyle changes I had made I had found my niche.... to facilitate PDC's and spread the passion for a brighter future inspired through Permaculture Design.
I have been facilitating PDC's since 2011 and setup many systems under our company Permaculture South Africa.
