I'm a gardener and software developer who has developed quite a few popular websites. My interest in gardening and sustainable lifestyles naturally led me to permaculture and I've been studying and practicing it since around 2002.
I live with my wife and children on a 90 acre farm in East Texas. We raise animals and grow vegetables for ourselves and the community. Our land is large and there's a seemingly limitless amount of potential. We are using a lot of hugelkultur beds. My website, All Things Plants, has a heavy focus on spreading permaculture awareness to casual gardeners worldwide.
My big goal is to survey the land and shape it to take advantage of the intermittent rain we get. Right now much of the water rushes off the land causing heavy erosion and I know that properly designed swales and other earthworks will do a tremendous good to the land.
