Born and raised in Texas; Planted my first seeds about 1947 - black-eyed peas from my mother's pantry--in the hard ground of Eastland, Texas, and when they came up, I was hooked! As they say "You can take the girl out of the country, but you can't take the country out of the girl."
I have always loved propagating and growing plants and for a brief time had a herb farm east of Fort Worth; my friends know they can ask me about growing and using herbs.
Now I am learning about permaculture and very excited about sharing my excitement with all the folks I know that are my age and lots younger..like my grandchildren!! I am in the middle of a Permaculture course in the DFW area taught by Nick Burtner and Terry Jensen, who wants to begin a community using CED houses and living off the grid.
