About Clayton Campbell

I grew up in Chester, West Virginia and from a very young I've been interested in farming and nature. I spent countless hours building ponds and gardens when I was a child, but it wasn't until 2009, right after I got out of Navy Boot Camp that I discovered permaculture. The first thing I ever saw regarding permaculture was a film titled Farming With Nature, a film about Sepp Holzer's Krameterhof. After seeing that film I Instantly knew what I wanted to do with my life, and ever since I've been learning everything I can about permaculture. I stumbled across Bill Mollison and then Geoff Lawton, then I bought the book, Permaculture A Designers Manual and read it front to back. At the time I had no idea how big of a challenge I was taking on. It was quite difficult but it was eye opening, before I read that book I had know Idea how broad of a subject permaculture was or how well thought out it was. A few years later I took a PDC, it was Geoff Lawton's online course. Not long after that I went to see Geoff speak in Ojai California and that brought everything together even more. Currently my Girlfriend and I are owners of and live on Bountiful Life For All Farm in New Cumberland, West Virginia. We're just getting started there but the community is already getting involved. Soon I will be teaching PDC's there and I will also be teaching about and also brainstorming with others about how we can build a system within the system. In other words, how we can go about establishing small farms and business in and around every town and city in the United States so that the people who live in those towns and cities will be largely immune to things like economy crashes, and other possible unfortunate events. The idea is to make people less dependent on government and large corporations. I wish to help liberate the American people and open their eyes to what the future can be if we apply permaculture ethics and principles to the way we live.
