Originally from the south coast of Australia, grew up with parents who always grew something edible at home, and grandparents who had a deep passion for growing food, which stemmed from the depression days...
Permaculture was accidental for me, and after i borrowed a book called, Lawns Into Lunch,I then continued to borrow books that had anything and everything to do with this practice, especially after, having lived in Sydney for the last 12 years and finding NO joy in tasteless fruits and produce that just does not last..
My goals at present are to firstly reduce my families footprint by way of the usual..water and power saving tecniques, repurposing anything we can ,and slowly we are are creating a food forest in our own urban block, based on permaculture principales.
I plan to undertake a few selected courses this year, but still researching this, and in the meantime will be joining a local group.
