I live in Nelson, a small mountain town in British Columbia. I have duel citizenship (Australia/Canada) and will be moving back to Australia in the near future. Some projects I'm involved in.
Permaworld was an online fundraising program to raise funds for environmental orgs including Permaculture International of which $30,000 was donated. A total of $130,000 was raised for a variety of Orgs. I'm working on a new program to do similar fundraising.
Permahost, a web design, hosting and domain registration service is a spinoff from Permaworld. A FREE service for any Permaculture Teacher or Organization who needs help with getting an online presence, domain name registered, website design or web hosting, FREE help and hosting.
I BANK LOCALLY
A project to have local businesses in a community put a window decal on their shop window to let customers know that the business banks at the local Credit Union or Community Bank. The idea is to use residents in a community to leverage businesses to bank locally by supporting those who do so.
A local currency in towns in the Kootenays, BC, Canada using a new local currency model designed by Michael Linton of LETS.
