My background is in the construction estimating and management field. I grew up playing in the woods and playing on my grandfather's farm. I have always loved and felt in tune with nature.

I learned of permaculture when I began growing my own food to avoid genetically modified foods. Permaculture immediately inspired me to shift my gardening to a food forest.

I am the co-founder of Roanoke Permaculture Guild in Roanoke, Virginia. I am working on transitioning my city lot into a permaculture, edible, educational food forest. Roanoke Permies is in the early stages of collaboration with other local organizations to develop a city lot into a public food forest. We intend to have workshops and other educational events.
